I graduated in Mental Health Nursing DipHe in 2009 and have been working in CAMHS ever since.Before then I worked in Special Education with young people with behavioral difficulties.I also have a 12 year old son with ADHD and anxiety. I have attended numerous courses on neuro-developmental disorders as a nurse but also as a mother.
I am a NMC member (Nursing and Midwifery Council PIN: 08I1188E)
I have been back to Surrey University (where I trained myself) throughout my carer, delivering teaching lessons on child and adolescent mental health and risk management to first and second year nursing students. I have also been involved in delivering teaching sessions to police/magistrates courts, A&E doctors and nurses and social care staff.
I hold diplomas in MBSR (Midfulness based stress reduction) EFT (Emotional freedom techniques-tapping)
These courses are registered with the CMA (Complimentary Medical Association) ,accredited (Level 3) by IAHT (International Alliance of Holistic Therapies)
I also hold a level 2 diploma in DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) which is accredited by APT (Association for Psychological Therapies)
