Mental Health Support for You and your family

Hello, I am Jenny Pink  and I am a mental health nurse specialist with extensive  experience working with young people and their families. 

I have worked in community CAMHS teams, hospital liaison services and as a consultant CAMHS nurse specialist for the Surrey Child and Family Service. I offer sessions to people of all ages but specialize in children. 

I am based in Farnham Surrey but can travel for individual appointments.

Treatment Focus

My focus would always be on hoping to help your child to feel more in charge of their life and more able to deal with their emotions.This could be done in a variety of ways. We would be discussing this at your first 30 minute free phone session to make sure that we use an approach that suits both you and your child.

Child focused Mindfulness workshop

This interactive child/parent workshop is a fun way to introduce Mindfulness activities to your child.
Mindfulness techniques have been found to reduce stress, anxiety, low mood and encourage all over mental and physical well being.

I will share with you the basic ideas of Mindfulness and show you exercises you can do together at home. This will include belly breathing, mindful meditation/observation/eating/movement etc. You can apply Mindfulness techniques in most areas of your life. It’s about living in the moment!

This workshop will be a great opportunity for you and your child to spend 90 minutes practising Mindfulness together in a fun way that will encourage emotional thinking and bonding.
Price is: £ 25 per adult and £10 per child

Anxiety workshop for parents

One approach to tackling anxiety in children and teenagers is to support parents to become more aware of the language they use and deepen their understanding and empathy towards what children might experience. In this 2 hour workshop I will talk about the evolutionary flight/fight/freeze response to fear and anxiety. I will also discuss Mindfulness and how we can apply this in managing anxiety.
With this workshop hope to equip parents with tools to understand and support their anxious children better. It is also useful for parents that are experiencing anxiety. 

Price is:£ 25 per person

Mindfulness in Schools


Mindfulness is known to be effective in helping students achieve academic success in a variety of ways, and this benefit is not reserved for any specific group.


  • Elementary students who practice mindfulness exhibit greater prosocial behaviors, emotion regulation, and academic performance (Harpin, Rossi, Kim, & Swanson, 2016).
  • Teenagers studying for a general education certificate who participated in a mindfulness program experienced lower depression and anxiety, which contributed to improved academic attainment (Bennett & Dorjee, 2016).

Depression & Anxiety

Mindfulness Sessions


I will support you and/or your child in building core skills to help managing their emotions and strengthen their emotional resilience. 

These sessions are based on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. 

This approach includes breathing exercises, mindful movement and stress management. If delivering to young people and children it would be an adapted, age appropriate program.

Chronic Pain & Trauma

 Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT (often known as Tapping or EFT Tapping), is a universal healing tool that can provide impressive results for physical, emotional, and performance issues. 

EFT combines the physical benefits of acupuncture with the cognitive benefits of conventional therapy for a much 

faster, more complete treatment of emotional issues.


Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills

This is an approach used to strengthen emotional resilience and distress tolerance. This could benefit people with emotional dyregulation that affect their ability to build healthy relationships and live an emotionally healthy life. 

We also work on acceptance of past trauma.

Improving Family Relationships & Challenging Behaviors

Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS).  

This approach is the non-punitive, trauma-informed model of care Dr. Greene introduced. 

The model is based on the premise that challenging behavior occurs when the expectations being placed on a child exceed the child's capacity to respond appropriately, and that some children are lacking the skills to handle certain demands and expectations.
